The East Coast Craft Spirits Award limits entries to truly craft distilleries making less than 100,000 tons each year located on states bordering the Atlantic. Judges rate the top three spirits in each class by a point system.
The SIP Bottle and Packaging Design Awards are conducted separately from tasting and recognizes successfully crafted designs that complement the spirit and appeal to the consumers’ aesthetic sense. Criteria for the design awards include creativity, originality, theme consistency and overall design.
Spirits that placed for a Platinum medal represent a distinguished class that earned exceptional marks from consumer judges. Platinum medal recipients are highly recommended to the public.
Reserved for spirits that have placed in the SIP Awards for two or more consecutive years, Consumers’ Choice recipients demonstrate an unwavering commitment to their spirit.
Reserved for entries that impressed consumer judges on all fronts, the SIP Awards Platinum Design Award represents an elite class of package designs.
The Best of Class medal expresses the highest acclaim from consumer judges and is reserved for premium spirits with scores at the pinnacle of their respective categories.
