Blue Shark one of six vodkas worldwide to win Platinum SIP Award

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC, June 13, 2024 — Blue Shark Vodka was named one of the top tasting vodkas in the world this month following the results of the consumer-based SIP Awards.

“To be one of only six vodkas in the world awarded a platinum medal is a proud achievement for all our hard work over the last five years,” said Blue Shark Vodka president Niki Bloomquist. “While this was our last year entering Blue Shark into the SIP Awards competition, we are expecting great results for our sister company Chactun Tequila next year.”

Blue Shark Vodka brought home three medals to North Carolina this year, making it a total of 25 medals since 2020.

This year Blue Shark was awarded a SIP Platinum Award for taste, a SIP Platinum Award for individual bottle design and a Consumer’s Choice Award. The Consumers’ Choice Award is presented to brands that demonstrate the ultimate in quality to consumers year after year. This honor is reserved for products that receive a medal for two consecutive years.

The SIP Awards remain one of the best unbiased international competitions as consumers evaluate the spirits in blind, unbiased taste tests.
