WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC, February 10, 2024— Blue Shark Vodka has signed a three-year contract to be the Carolina Plains League’s (CPL) official vodka.
“My son, Brett, played for the Wilmington Sharks 15 years ago. The Bloomquist family would like to see the CPL grow and become the premiere wooden bat league for collegiate players,” said Blue Shark Vodka founder Mark Bloomquist. “It feels like the next best step in our mission.”
“Our new team owners want to enhance the baseball experience for all fans,” said CPL Commissioner Chip Allen. “We’re thrilled to have Blue Shark Vodka as an official league sponsor through 2026.”
“Blue Shark Vodka has had a dedicated history of supporting and being involved in the local community from the outset, including partnering with several local and national artists, local and regional ocean life advocates, New Hanover County community organizations, and now supporting the Southeast collegiate CPL league and ball parks.” said Mark Bloomquist.
“The integrity of the game and CPL league values align well with Blue Shark Vodka’s parent company Daytoon Distributors,” said company attorney and Naval Academy graduate Geoff Losee. “We’re excited to dive into this new partnership.”
Blue Shark Vodka is currently available in all North Carolina ABC stores as well as South Carolina and Nevada, Virginia and Southern California.
