In August 2022, Brian Platt of Flying Machine Taproom and Kitchen represented Blue Shark Vodka by creating a specialty cocktail that received the People’s Choice Award at the state’s largest chef competition — the North Carolina Restaurant & Lodging Association’s Chef Showdown.
