Blue Shark launches second collaborative bottle with ocean muralist Wyland

Blue Shark Vodka has again teamed up with world-famous ocean muralist Wyland to create a second limited-edition bottle.

A second, limited-edition Blue Shark Vodka bottle (dubbed Wyland 2.0) will be released at North Carolina ABC stores May 1. This edition features an oil-painted scene by Wyland of a blue shark circling an underwater shipwreck. A sea turtle appears in the foreground as well as a treasure chest and a mysterious glowing lantern on the ship.

Proceeds from the 750ml bottle will benefit The Wyland Foundation, which brings educational art and marine science programs to schools and inspires youth to explore oceans and the idea of conservation.

Blue Shark Vodka launched its first partnership bottle with Wyland in summer 2020. The collector’s bottle quickly sold out.

“Partnering with Wyland for a second collector’s bottle was an easy ‘yes’ for us at Blue Shark,” said founder Mark Bloomquist. “Wyland is the only one of his kind, with art studios around the world. Our partnership with him has grown since we met in 2020 and we have become more involved in The Wyland Foundation. Their mission closely aligns with ours. Successful ocean conservation hinges on the next generation becoming passionate about marine life, and his foundation is on a mission to make sure they do.”
